Project description
Currently, many users of Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) are unable to assess which signals, services and evaluation methods represent the best solution for them in terms of accuracy, availability, robustness, integrity and, of course, cost. In particular, the Galileo High Accuracy Service (HAS), a new Galileo service that can bring decisive advantages for a variety of applications, is largely unknown. It is therefore necessary to analyse the performance of the HAS, to highlight the advantages and disadvantages and to draw a comparison with other services and other evaluation methods.
As part of the project, possible utilisation concepts for the Galileo HAS will be examined against the background of the requirements of Austrian stakeholders and users. Based on the needs of users, a series of GNSS information webinars will be planned and carried out. The economic utilisation of the Remote Radiohead (RRH) concept examined in the project for a potential service operator is being investigated.
